Did you know Richard Cantillon was murdered by his cook?

  2. It's actually not known how he died. It is widely believe that he died in a fire. Some believe he escaped to Suriname and lived under a different name.

  4. It's been claimed that he fabricated his own death to end a lot of litigation and yes, apparently some personal papers of his were found in Surinam years later
